Would this be a good buy...?

I've been looking for an e30 for the past two months and I found this BMW 1984 325e 5spd. black on black. No rust and has around 70k miles on the clock. Looking to pay around 3k for it. The only thing that bothers me is the diving boards. Would this be a good buy, I wanted to know your opinions.

    Here are some pictures:

    Thanks,
    Sel.

Looks like a good deal considering the mileage. Any rust?

if its everything you want and tis clean body and good paint and nice and clean interior? I spend the extra bucks for it. You wont find another one as good. But... that said really clean e30s fetch for around 2 grand with diving board. esp if its an eta.

No rust on the body, but there is some rust around the muffler.

Pretty much fits what I want, besides the diving boards. I am also waiting for some service records.

If you don't want that car, I might take it. I've been looking for a manual 2dr eta to daily drive and this looks nice. 3k might be a bit too much for something I want to daily though...

He is firm on the price. However I'll let you know when I decide not to buy it.

Id say buy it, then swap over plastics or euros if the diving boards bug ya. After you drop it a bit of course ;)

Will sure do, but I don't have any e30 experience. I love the way your e30 looks. (hope you don't mind posting its pic.) What you have done to it, could you explain it a little ? (how much it costs)

How does the back bumper look, any pics?

not at all... ^^ at that point the rear didnt look much different than the rear on the car youre looking at, only lower. Now, ive swapped the rear to platic, but no valance yet

The front in that pic: Late model valance, (usually sell for around 100- 150) volvo lip( cheap, search on that) smoked turns, 40$ form abrahams

then i put on the front plastic ( varies) and elipsoid headlights ( bout 125$)

                    how she looks now

                    rear

if you search, you can find one of my threads with more pix, i dont wanna completely threadjack this

It's clean, but IMHO 3k is too much for a stock 84 325e

Its an 86, the front bumper was only tucked slightly, using a bumper shock from an 88 (pain in the ass)

yea I understand, but I couldn't find anything clean with such low miles around 2k.

yeah, i don't see you picking that car up for 3k. i spoke with the seller on ebay and it sounded like he expected to get significantly more for it.
