FS: Very Clean 1990 325is - Southern Car - No Rust

    SOLD - Enjoy it Ferdinand!!

March 10, 2009 Lowered Price and Sparco included and I had miles wrong the odometer reads 224k not 240k

I bought this car last summer from Michael Davidson in Chesapeake, Virginia ($4550 with transport from VA to Pitt) and before that the car came from FL, as the Carfax reads. So there are no rust problems at all. Paint is original on all flat surfaces and on the doors and front fenders. I had both rear quarters painted, the paint was cracked from the previous owner rolling the fenders. As you can expect the original paint is showing its age. Currently the car is buffed, waxed and looks really nice from 10 feet. It does have some dings here and there, all of what you would expect from a car of the is year and these miles. This car turns heads, makes people smile and sounds great.

    VIN is WBAAA1317LEC68191

The guy I bought it from races e30's and decided not to race this one as he thought it was to clean to turn into a track rat. He also mentioned that it has always had synthetic oil in it and has had valve adjustments every 5k-7k miles. Original FS post from where I bought the car: http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61645

He was responsible for installing: (bold is what I did to his mods)

H&R sport Springs with Bilstein sport Shocks
Chip - unknown brand but I have a bav auto one as well (only got the one in car)
    Custom exhaust and x-pipe
Poly control arm bushings (replaced with Powerflex)
    Ground Control camber plates
16x8 sportmax 002's with 205/45/16 brand new Falken Ziex 912's (removed and sold)
Reiger Front Lip (removed, its cracked you can have it if you want)
Rare Euro Flat Headlights. Not Ellipsoids
    Klight 6000k HID's
    Stainless Steel Brake Lines
    Factory LSD
    Short Shifter
Nice Stereo with 10in sub (Visonik but it sounds really good) (PO removed it, I didnt want it)

I drive the car only on nice days for a cruise with my son or when I am taking it to my BMW dealer (I am the General Sales Manager there) to have work done to it. My wife and I have two SUV's as daily drivers.

Since I bought the car in July I may have put 250 miles on it. Odometer reads 224k miles but the car runs, pulls, sounds and is really really strong. I have gone through the car inside and out - cleaning, buffing, waxing, painting and had my master BMW tech look at it and he was shocked how nice everything looked under the hood and underneath.

Below you will see all I have done to make the car tight and look better than it did when I got it. It really is a blast to drive. I also have 99% of all the reciepts of all the items below.

    I have done:

    -new front is lip ($107)
-Ireland Eng. rear shock mounts ($75)
-new brake pads and rotors all 4 corners from Turner Motorsports ($249)
-brand new Corbeau seats and slider brackets ($991)
-new e46 330 perf pkge short weighted shift knob ($60)
-black suede shift boots with red stitching ($55)
-brand new suede Sparco steering wheel ($331)
    -M5 leather e-brake handle (free)
-fresh paint on the rear quarters ($500)
-new front sway bar end links ($70)
-new Z3 front control arms and bushings ($200)
    -new ball joints
    -new Powerflex lollipop bushings
    -new fuel filter ($26)
-brand new e46 M3 floor mats (free)
    -custom all red taillights
-shadow chrome 325i rear badge ($20)
-oem 545 chrome exhaust tips (free)
-new oem front seat belt receptacles ($80)
-fresh Castrol Synthetic oil change and filter replacement ($50)
    -alignment ($60)
    -blacked out kidneys ($35)
-new bumper trim front and rear ($60)
-new front parking light lenses ($30)
-OEM black license plate filler ($30)
    -extra key ($23)
    -all new wheel bolts ($31)
-a lot of odds & ends around the car (fuse box cover, intake boot, clips, plugs, etc.) all OEM (approx. $275)

The biggest and most expensive mod I made was four BBS RM's that I completely restored. Make a long story short I have about $2800 invested in them. I can let them go with the car for more money or find a cheap set of wheels to sell the car with.

All together without the wheels I have roughly $8000 invested in the car not including my time and the labor that I paid to have some of the above mentioned installed. I am not looking to make or get all my money back, and honestly after I add all this stuff up, kinda thinking shouldn't even sell it but this way I can move on to other adventures.

The only thing I can fault this car for is the sunroof is a little slow when closing, the dash has a two small cracks and the rear seat leather is showing its age.

****UPDATED****March 10, 2009 $5500 and you get the Sparco steering wheel, front valance is getting painted this week and buyer supplies wheels. $7500 with BBS wheels. Some photos show car with the Sportmaxx wheels I removed and have since sold.

New battery tray installed right after I bought the car last summer, old one was cracked. I also rust proofed the area underneath. Those extra wires are for the keyless entry.

    In the booth today 03/14/09....

most likely you will have to part it out and sell rims, seats etc to recover some of the costs... s50 swapped cars sell for $8k. your car is exceptionally clean and very well taken care of but it does have 240k miles on stock m20.
good luck with your sale !

Very clean car, with some well done mods. But i agree with vlad. If it was in like the mid 4's without rims i would be giving you a call. GL with the sale though, ill be keeping my eye on it.

Wow. I need to get a nice late model before they keep going up. At this rate a 318iS is gonna go for 7-10k in the next 12-18 months.

              GLWS, clean car.

I kind of thought that, the only good thing is I really don't have to sell it so I can hold out and see what happens. The original seats were so shitty that they made the car look so bad. There are so few rust free cars in the northeast so maybe the fact that someone wont have to spend $500+ to transport, plus all the right maintanence mods I did might convince someone. Because at $4xxx they will have to do much of the same things that I did, putting them in the same investment figure as I am in.

Vlad - your wheels inspired me to do this. I don't know if I should thank you or hate you!!! :D

The original were SPortmaxx 16x8 0et and the current are 15x7.5 and 15x8 BBS RM's with custom powdercoat and lowprofile polished aluminum center caps.

Very good looking car and very clean, but with over 200k on the clock $8200 is a VERY steep price, even with those awesome wheels.

But good luck, and if someone buys this, it means that E30s are appreciating very fast!

this car is amazing in person, I've always thought it was flawless. It also sounds incredible. bump for a good seller and a very very clean car that no one would be disapointed with.
