Its an 89, a little bit of a project, i welded in a used rad support after it had a hit with a deer (above the bumper). Everything bolts on and lines up as it should. It was also 1/2 parted out when i got it. It will have new seat upholstry, im just finishing up the upholstry on the front seats. Its red with black interior, has a little bit of rust in the bottom of the front fenders(minor). Its an auto, runs good but sounds a little bit like a diesel at idle, it has a valve tap, we think whoever had the head before me may have slight bent a valve by mis handling. This does not seem to affect the running/driving of the car. I was told the head was rebuilt less than 10k miles ago, but have no way to prove it. Car has about 140k on it. New headgasket, waterpump, timing belt etc, has an oil leak i havent had time to try and track down yet. If you search my name on here you'll find my thread on it titled "I swear I'm gunna finish it this time!". Needs control arm bushings in the front end, I have new ones to go with the car. It recently passed NJ inspection (good until 6/10!), has good tires(205-Falkens) on basketweaves. The top is ok, but stitching is coming loose in spots. We've driven it around abunch, but my wife really wants a new beetle convertible, and its her car, so, it has to go. Asking $1750 for this driving project car. I may also consider parting it if I cannot sell it whole.
