Asking Price includes an OEM M tech II kit with fasteners & a crack free dash.
You might recognize this car from BAT a little over a year ago where I won the auction and took ownership of this car.
I’ve always been a fan of the e30’s looks, simplicity, style, lightweight and competent chassis. In the same light the S54 engine is my all-time favorite BMW engine. Bringing the two together = my idea of the ultimate driving machine for the $$. This car has only confirmed that to me.
Before buying the car on BAT I looked into building one myself but quickly realized that cost of doing a swap like this would run me well into the $20K’s pretty quickly (if done the way this car was done) without the car itself so I decided to go with an already built car.
As soon as I received the car, I took it straight to Market Motor Works in Lawrenceville, GA who went through the car top to bottom. The car spent 3 or 4 weeks at their shop and had quite a bit done to get it into shape.
Since then, I’ve put 7K miles on the car which included a few road trips including a 1600-mile round trip to BMW Oktoberfest in Pittsburgh, which included a day of HDPE and autocross and then drove it back home with no issues apart from the odd traffic violation along the way.
My plan all along was to get the car mechanically sound and then turn my attention to the aesthetics. Plan included: M-tech II kit, respray, 3 piece wheels, interior refresh etc. So far, I’ve managed to buy an OEM M-tech II kit and source just about every clip and fastener required to have it fitted. I also have a really clean crack free dash. I’m including it all in the package.
I’ve decided to list the car to raise a down payment for machinery i'm looking to buy for my startup business.
