    2001 bagged E38

Selling my 2001 740i. Don’t have time for it anymore and will be using the money to fund a father son E30 project.

    Price: $7500

The car has 59k on the clock.

I bought the car in 2017 and immediately spent over $3k on brakes and motor work. (Still trying time find the receipt for this work hut it may have been filed and stored already, I should be getting the the import shop that did the work to try and find the receipt and their reports). Timing chain is in good shape!! The previous owner claimed this had taken care of but I cannot verify this as he had no proof.

The car was resprayed at some point and to be honest, it wasn’t the best job. I paid the best shop in our area to do a full cut and polish job and now it looks great considering where it was prior. Paint overall is a 7 out of 10. Body is in pretty good shape. Does have rust bubbles on passenger rear fender, Passenger door was bondo-ed and it hasn’t held up the greatest but is not the worst. Front right bumper plastic is cracked as well. Driver rear fender has scuffs that can be cut and re-polished.

Interior is 6 out of 10. Rear section of roof upholstery is separating, sunroof upholstery is gone, instrument screen is missing pixels. I do have replacement rear interior pillars that will come with the car. All electronics work other than the instrument screens missing pixels.

Full bav audio system will also come with the car but uninstalled. Brand new airlift 3H system with custom built Royal Automotive double bellow air struts were installed in 2017. The system is absolutely awesome and works flawlessly! This thing almost sits on the frame. The ride is phenomenal.

It’s currently sitting on repop 19” mpars which is very hard to find. One of the rear wheels is slightly bent and produces a shimmy from about 45-65mph. It will also come with the stock Mpars that came with it. Those ride great but aren’t cosmetically perfect.

I also have a set of staggered ACS 19” Type 2s that can be had for an additional $1400

I have some of the paperwork on the vehicle that the previous owner had. Appears most of the receipts go back to about 2004.

The car just got pulled out of storage and brought back to my shop in Mount Horeb, WI.

I’ve included all of the information I have and know about the car and have done so with full transparency. Nothing worse than showing up to look at a car and finding out a bunch of other things the seller didn’t mention! It’s a damn good deal but know it is not perfect by any means. Happy to answer any questions. Thanks!
