See the trend? When I first bought the car, I knew what was needing to be replaced based on receipts from the PO (which I still have all of them, including oil changes). Upon receiving the car and close inspection, I fired off a 1000 dollar parts order from Worldpac. The spending didn’t stop there of course. I have all of the original stuff from the dealer when the car was bought new including sales window sticker, all the little cassette tape cleaners and shit. Have driven this car on big trips without any issue whatsoever. Eats little oil, but does require a quart every now and then if you’re running 5w-30. Running a little bit thicker oil, it uses zero oil.) Now on to the bad..

    The Bad
    • Needs new strut hat on drivers side
    • Paint is still really shiney, but shows its age. Some spider webbing from a previous paint job at some point on the quarter on passenger side. This is a 10 foot car for sure like most all other E30’s. No major dents or dings. Passenger quarter paneling had some paint crack off from spider webbing and started to surface rust, so I sanded that patch down and put a spray paint band aid on it. You can barely notice it, but I just didn’t want it to get bad. Would rather see a dull paint square, than rust and chipped paint , ya know?
    • Center section of the euro bumper in front needs to be replaced from a woman rolling back into me the other day, thus making roll back into th e car behind me. It tweaked the rear passenger side section of the bumper slightly. Not noticeable really. It can all be fixed however, or buy new parts. They are available from the dealer new. Less than 200 dollars worth of replacement parts from Blunt Tech Enterprises.
    • Dash is cracking now. When I got it, it had no cracks. The next day I came to the car to clean it, it had started forming a fucking crack. (fml)
    • Small little wear spot on drivers sport seat from wear over the years. On the inside so its not noticeable.
    • OBC is really dim. Not sure why. Havent looked into it really. Replaced it with a euro as an upgrade, but it didn’t fix it. 12 button OBC btw..with the turn signal stalk control
    • Speedometer goes out from time to time while driving. Not sure why. I replaced the gears inside and it didn’t fix it. They were stripped anyways. I believe it may be related to the SI Board or maybe the speed sensor on the diff? It stops counting miles when the speedo isn’t working.
    • 2 lights come on occasionally on the check panel. Brake light and coolant. Coolant is probably the sensor on the bottle and brake light is probably a ground. I didn’t care to look into it.
    • Needs some A/C work again. Small leak somewhere, I believe to be at the condenser on the o’rings. To make the A/C system completely all brand new again, would require a compressor and condenser. That was on the list this summer, however, if you fill it back up with R12 or Freeze12, it will work again. Leaks out over a period of time. Spent wayyyyy too much money on the A/C troubleshooting last year.
    • Leak into the trunk somehow. Pretty common, but not too bad.
    • Engine bay is on the dirty side
    • Has a funny start once every month or so. I think its related to the fuel pumps maybe? I ended up replacing almost anything and everything trying to troubleshoot the problem in the process. Turn the car off, start again, fires right up. May be related to the cold start valve, which is still stock and has not been replaced. Didn’t troubleshoot it.
    • Does not come with roof racks 
    • Lips on the BBS Rz’s need to be polished again. I went through winter like a dumb ass with these on and we actually got snow this past year a few times. They look a lil grimey, compared to how brand new they looked 5 months ago after being refurbed completely.
    • Rear window defrost doesn’t really defrost. Dunno why
    • Window switches are a little sticky. I have replacements, but that’s with every e30 I’ve ever seen
    • Drivers side wheel bearing started making some noise about 2 months ago at high speeds (60+)
So that’s about all Ive got for now. Im sure theres a ton more stuff im missing, but so far its taken me an hour to write this. Im extremely nit picky with my cars, so I’m more than likely making it seem worse than it really is. If you know me, you’ll know my family is in the scene and Im no stranger to vintage BMW’s. If and when I go to meet someone for a potential trade, I expect the buyer to have high expectations because I know I will. If at any point either one of us are not satisfied with the deal at hand, we will walk away free and clear and high five, maybe chest bump or something, and go back home.

If you’re not serious, absolutely POSITIVELY DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL OR PM ME. I would rather crash this car into a wall, set it on fire, and piss on its ashes and take a picture and send it to you and your family than put up with lowballing bullshit. I know what this car is worth,, and I know whats up. Don’t even try. I’d prefer to trade straight up for an E36, or E34. I will not consider anything other than that unless its worth my while of course . Contact me for better, in depth, close up shots of things wrong with the car etc..
I will trade for and only trade for an E36 or E34 with working A/C, manual transmission, reasonable miles, and good body. Im a flexible guy, but these are my requirements. I believe that my car has a rarity value to it, and its been a car club car for a long time, and I’d prefer to keep it that way. However, I’m not going to discriminate. 

The car is not for sale. Trades only.
Email preferred, and I’m down to talk on the phone to serious people. Willing to travel with the car up to 500 miles or so or meet half way somewhere. Title in hand, clean and registered. Passes smog every time. Roof racks not included. All my spare parts are though.

You have an amazing car. That makes me want to buy a diving board car and convert it, instead of just settling for a plastic bumpered one.
