    [Sold]1989 325i Lachssilber 4-Door Auto

Car has been sold to a good home.

    --
    Hey everyone,

I’m thinking of putting my E30 up for sale, a 1989 Lachssilber 4-Door with an automatic transmission. I’m the second owner of this clean title, California car and I’ve owned it for nearly three years. The car has approximately 226,500 miles, runs great, and successfully passed CA smog in Feb. I’ll get it smogged again before any sale.

Follow the link to my members rides post to see the car and all the work I’ve done to it since buying it in December of 2017. I’ve put only approximately 6500 miles on it since buying it, and I have kept it in a garage for nearly the entire time I’ve owned it. It has served me well, but it should be driven much more! I’m not in any rush to sell it, but I’m hoping it will go to an enthusiast who will drive it and work on making it their own (this car is a BEGGING for a 5 speed swap).

I have all service records since I’ve bought the car, but unfortunately do not have anything from before then. The only major modification from before my time seems to be the Bilstein suspension. I purchased it at auction in Anaheim, where it was being resold after apparently being donated to charity from the original owner, who bought it new from BMW of San Diego in 1989. It is currently located in Santa Monica, CA.

Major highlights since I’ve owned the car (no major mechanical issues or modifications).
    • new timing belt, water pump, valve adjustment, fuel lines, hoses, belts, etc done after purchase
    • new RONAL LS 15” wheels and New Yokohama S drive 220/55R15 tires
    • added sport seats, mtech I wheel, rear plate filler (still have original 4 spoke wheel)
    • color matched side mirrors (still have original mirrors)
    • Continental Bluetooth radio with LED modification by forum member Earthwormjim to match (working) OBC LEDs
    • E46 convertible tan floor mats
    • Z4 short antenna to replace broken factory antenna.
    • Recharged AC last July, but have to admit it’s struggling a bit in this heat wave and could use a full R134 conversion for daily driving in the heat.
As I mentioned, I’m not in any rush to sell, I’d just like the car to go to a good home! Asking $10k

pm or reply with any questions

2mAn, feel free to take the post down if you need to. Circumstances have changed over the last month and looking like I'll be driving more so going to hold onto the car for a while. Thank you.
