    FS- 1988 325is-5spd,Silver,160k, Many Upgrades, Northern California

    Due to a major family issues I am FORCED to sell my project car. I have gone round and round but it has to go.. Here are the details.

    The car has 160k miles. I bought it from a friend after he was in a slight fender bender which caused a "salvage title". This was a result of him not wanting to pay his insurance deductible so the insurance stamped it "salvage" The work has not been completed as illustrated in the pictures I have shown. It is minor cosmetic damage.Hood, front bumper and right front fender. I allready have a plastic bumper replacement for it in my garage just needs to be painted. This has been a california and Arizona car its whole life and is completely rust free.

    Here is a list of the items I have done in the last 45 days with the car.

    * Brand new tires--less than 200 miles since purchased
    * Zimmerman cross drilled rotors front and rear
    * Akibono racing pads
    * Water pump
    * New MAF Sensor
    * New 02 Sensor
    * New Idle Control Valve
    * Timing Belt
    * All other belts replaced as well
    * All vaccum lines replaced
    * Bottom and top seals replaced
    * 19lb injectors installed
    * Mark D Performance Chip
    * Momo shift knob and BMW Z4 3.0 short shifter installed
    * Swapped Interior to all black with sport seats. Front seats have a few cracks, door cards are great and back seat is mint condition
    * Replaced cracked windshield with PPG glass.
    * Changed ALL fluids with full synthetic, Castrol Synthetic Oil, Redline Diff, and transmission fluid
    * Drained and flushed radiator and filled with OEM BMW radiator fluid
    * Replaced Radiator fluid reservoir with new one as old one was changing colors to brown
    * New wires, Plugs--OEM-BMW.

    The car runs strong and all electrics work. The car has a MOMO Race steering wheel and Dinan Exhaust and air intake as well. As far as suspension the car has Eibach springs, Eibach Sway bars front and rear, Tokico 5 way adjustable struts.
    The wheels are 17" Mille Miglia's and one wheel has a 1 inch curb mark, slighly noticeable.

    The body is good with a few dings but overall shines. The car was proffesionally repainted 3 years ago to sterling silver from its original color Lachsilber.

    ** I have ALL the receipts**

    Please feel free to call me with any questions.
    Thanks,

    ASKING $4200 or best offer

                        If you are going to just drive it to the ground and do maintenance repairs, sure, go for it. On these cars a dent could be mean salvage since the insurance guages these cars @ $2k etc.

                        But if you want to fix it, and modify the car, potential swap, you would be better off buying another car because you will never shake off the stigma from the title.

                        Who puts money into a salvage car? Exactly.

                        Could be a great daily driver (if mechanically sound) or parts car. Personally, they couldn't pay me enough. Of all the salvage car stories I hear, about 1% are positive. As a general rule, you stay away all things consider.
