I swapped this one out for a different diff because it was developing a very slight leak from one of the output shaft connections.
I purchased, and am including, the seal kit to refresh this diff. I just never got around to doing the seal job myself and I need to free up garage space.
This diff never made any weird or undesireable sounds, and still has fluid in it, though I'd recommend a change/refill at the very least before just slapping it in and driving.
In case you're wondering, my 318 would sit right around 4,000 RPM when going 75 mph in 5th gear.
It was actually kind of nice because when you go to pass, you're already in the power band and don't need to downshift.
