    Parting out a 1985 325e

I've since sold what's left of the car, but still have a lot of little stuff that I had already removed. See list below.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I recently acquired a 1985 325e that's not worth bringing back to life, so I'm parting it out. Here are just a few of the details about the car:

    Black exterior
    Black/gray interior
    Cloth sport seats
    Timing belt broken
    258k miles

    For more information including pictures:

Here's the inventory I've cataloged so far:
(to read through more quickly, anything in bold is sold)
center, left, and right grills $45.00
    chrome window trim PARTIALLY SOLD
    gas door lock $5.00
    headlights (each) (R SOLD) $20.00
    engine DME $50.00
    mass air flow sensor $25.00
center console with ash trays $20.00
    climate control switches
climate, radio, obc trim face plate $15.00
    cluster trim $9.00
    door handle trim L & R $7.00
    door handles interior $10.00
    door sills $20.00
    gauge cluster $30.00
glove box handle/lock no key? $7.00
    headlight & foglight switch $6.50
    power window switches (2) $8.00
    radio $20.00
sunroof motor with relay, tracks, & all $75.00
    window motors L&R SOLD
    on board computer obc $20.00
    radio LR balance switch $15.00

Know that there are a few things I need to keep on the car until very last. Like the wheels/tires for instance. I can't have a car on blocks in my front yard!

I used Google Sites and Google Documents. I created a spreadsheet in Google Documents, then I inserted it on the "Parts List" page of the website I created in Google Sites. I tweaked it a little and there you have it. Now, whenever I update the spreadsheet it shows up on the site.

Good question. Since I've never seen these wheels before, I kind of want to know what people are willing to pay. Make me an offer.

On second though I figure I should give you my thoughts on these wheels and pricing. I heard the wheels are super lightweight, so I took one off to weigh it. The wheel/tire combination only weighed 31 pounds. That's pretty good. They'd be a great set for autocrossing. The tires are Hankook radial H714. They are nearly new. I haven't cleaned up the wheels yet, but I plan to. If I clean them up to sell them, I'll be a little more stingy on price because I'll have put more work into them. Feel free to buy them either way. The wheel style is unique, I've never seen it before. Maybe they're quite desirable, I don't know. Being only 14" though I don't expect outrageous interest. All the center caps are there but the emblem stickers are faded and could stand to be replaced. So with all that said, I'm willing to put a price of $300 on them.

All I ask is that I can keep them on the car until part out is complete. I can't have a car on blocks in my driveway.
