The sides are in decent shape overall. One of them has a slight gouge (see pic) and there's cracking/flaking in the paint on both. Chances are you don't have a Lapis Blue E30 anyway, so you'd need to paint them regardless.
The valence might be useful, but someone butchered the exhaust cutout. No real stories to tell other than that.
