83k s52 pistons with BRAND NEW piston rings

Set of s52 pistons, all in good shape with BRAND NEW oem piston rings on them. Bought them for a re-build, ended up needing oversized pistons.

    $350 shipped.

That's a great price, because OE rings are ridiculously expensive.

Can you bore the M42 to S52 piston spec (86.4?)?

          Going to do my research.....

I'm thinking of getting the S52 car back together, selling it, and building an M42 track car instead.

                  A 2.1L M42 + big cams + DASC would be nuts.

It would probably also leave me single!

that's the truth. i just bought new forged pistons that came with rings and they were the same price as just BMW rings.

Best way to get around it is to buy an inexpensive m50 block and bore it out to these piston specs. If I built another 3.2, I'd highly consider that, it prevents you from having to overbore.

                      Good price

Oh man, I wish you could have met Febi Guibo (Sam) with the 2.1 Metric Mechanic motor. He's a close friend of mine, I think you would have loved the work they did to the car. He's thinking about DASC sometime in the future as well. That kind of combo would be absolute sex on the track.

*edit* sorry for taking this slightly ot mike.
