The 14815 is a 5x8x14 muffler with beautiful looking tips. The can is small, so it will be loud.

It has a 2.25" single inlet.

What is comparable to it with a larger can?? I love the tips of the 14815, but I want something thats not too stupidly loud.

Well, getting as big a can as possible, such as the 2.5" single in / 2.5" single out Magnaflow 14586, cutting the single out nearly flush to the can, and adding aftermarket tips would be one way to go.

If you guys are planning on retaining the stock piping (AND resonator), the 14815 won't be that loud. I had a Dynomax Super Turbo with a 318is resonator, and the exhaust was actually fairly quiet. Once I removed the stock resonator, though, that is when things got way louder.

My only deal is that I don't want it to be obnoxiously loud. A little louder than stock & not too raspy would be perfect for me.

Urgh, mieneke wants $150 to install this muffler, so I'm putting off getting it installed for while.

yeah thats what i've heard, it should be around $50. When I dropped my car off I said it would need a y-pipe and they said no problem they said even if it takes 1 hour they would only charge for 1/2 so I said fine and dropped the car off. They call me about 1/2 an hour later saying that they have to use a y-pipe so its going to be $150. So I drove down their picked up my car and left.
