Okay guys so its official, I am parting out my e30 :(. I have been a r3v member since 2003 and I put my heart and soul into this car. Unfortunately after four years of owning my 2nd e30, I needed something practical and purchased a 330ci. The car needs at least 3k in body work (rust), so I am forced to part out...
I would like to sell the motor, tranny, and exhaust together. Here are the specs bellow:
-Rebuilt Stroked OBDI S50 3.2 w/~12k miles
-Engine machining was done by Kenyon Machine (hands down best in SD) http://www.kenyonmachine.com/
-S50 Block was powdercoated and stroked to 3.2 by Kenyon
-S50 Head was fully rebuilt by Kenyon
-Used parts include: Pistons (S52), Cams (S50), e34 Oil Pan, coils, and other electrical components.
-Car is not chipped, so I strongly recommend that you do (the main reason why i didn't is because I was going to put #22lb pinktop injectors in as well as a 540HFM). Also, i dont have the "BMW M POWER" plastic cover, just the standard black "BMW" cover (sorry, you will have to purchase an m3 valve cover and plastic compenents)
-Exhaust was done by Ed Hanson Muffler http://www.edhansonsmuffler.com/ , all mandrel bent from the headers back, and a used e36 m3 muffler was installed (i liked the sound) Spent over 1k for this job...
-Tranny is 260getrag with a new (~12k miles) e30 m3 clutch, with a significantly lightened flywheel.
-You will need to purchase a 320 or 325xi brake booster for power brakes (you have to for all conversions)
Edit: Will include #22lb pinktop injectors and a 540 3.5" HFM
So please keep in mind this is EVERYTHING you need to do the swap (minus chip and brake booster). I spent over 8k in just parts alone, not including labor and the countless hours I spent gathering parts...also I was out of a car for a year so this could be done right. The swap was done by Marco and Bryson (Bry5on r3v member and son of the owner of Marco Polo BMW Independent in La Jolla), which was done about two years ago.
I will only be accepting offers for the complete motor (including wiring harness), exhaust, and tranny that are no less than $4,500...No lowballers please, this is a good deal for a complete swap ready rebuilt S50 3.2
Pics will be up soon! Local pick-up only (for now) in San Diego. Let me know if you have any questions! All the other parts on my e30 will be parted out as soon as the engine is sold. Thanks! :)
