FS: Complete and running M42 engine

129,000 miles on the clock, engine is RUNNING in the car. Come take it for a drive!!

This engine has been VERY well maintained and has made a couple trips from California to Texas and back without issue. Parts recently replaced include: Water pump, thermostat, coolant, all breather and idle hoses, intake gaskets, tensioner, spark plugs, and much more. Frequent oil changes with Valvoline or Castrol and always a Mahle filter. This engine has never let me down, but it's time for more power and worse mileage with an M50 swap. :)

I encourage you to come test drive the car, hear the engine, and make your decision.

    Asking $500 or best offer.

From what I've heard the M50 gets similar mileage to the M42.

You could get similar highway mpg to what I get as mpg avg per tank. This is with me not driving nicely either, always is around ~28.

GLWS, I want to pick up another m42 to stroke and build.

you mean the M50 in an E30 vs the M42 in the same E30?

Bump for a clean, low mile M42. I've recently heard the engine in person and it sounds very healthy.
