unless you have original ACS boxes that these came in and receipts from whoever you bought them from, it's almost impossible to tell the difference. Also, real set of pedals and the shift knob that I have came with ACS brochures.
I have a real set and the fake set, they look almost identical.
Also, there are only a handfull of authorized ACS dealers in USA. I never heard of Butler tire being one of them. ACS dealers sell a lot more real ACS stuff than the pedals and shift knobs, but original boxes and original brochures are big hints.

I don't have the boxes (the original owner didn't keep them). I DO appriciate the tips Vlad on this, I'm learning a lot about the differences between the fakes and real ones.

Butler tire is an authorized dealer for AC Schnitzer.. At least they have sets of their wheels in the show room. Here's a link to there site

I just took a few bad cell pics. I noticed in the bimmerboard link, the pedals were not straight at the bottom and had a backwards curve to them. Mine are cut very straight and do not have that curve.

Also, there is a serial number stamped into the rubber on the gas peddle. The number is 20009436 (the photo doesn't show it too well)

      Here's the pics:

Thanks again for the research Vlad.. If this doesn't sell soon, they are just going into my car (just sourced an AC Schnitzer steering wheel). I'll now be very confident I have the real thing.

Cheers everyone and thanks for looking

like I said, without the boxes or receipts it's impossible to tell the difference, the have been making fakes for many years now and they got pretty good at it, they now put the serial numbers an logos on their stuff..
Butler tire is not authorized ACS dealer. I can buy 10 sets of rims from the distributor and start selling them from my show room and call myself ACS distributor which would not be the truth

So, you are saying there is NO way to tell the difference unless you have a box and receipt? Then you can't really say they are eBay fakes then since you have stated there is really no way to tell from the pedals themselves.

Well, I'm VERY confident in the friend that I got these from, so I guess it comes down to trusting me or not. Therefore, these are either eBay fakes that I'm trying to pawn off on some sucker or they are the real thing. I leave that to whoever would want to buy these.

          Cheers,
          Mark

From looking at the fake pictures I can find some differences. I'm pretty confident these are the real deal

I have a set at home that are supposedly "the real deal" that I got for a very very good price, I'm wondering if I have a serial number stamped on mine...thanks for the heads up about that.

                            just sayin

irrespective of how VLAD advertised his car, wouldn't you want to be absolutely sure you were buying an authentic part thats pricey? shit i don't just pay out the ass for something that i THINK is legit, i need proof.

I bought my ACS parts from Butler Tire many years ago for my E46. They are AUTHENTIC (at least the dead/brake/accelerator/e-brake) and came in ACS boxes and had the brochures. Now, I can't remember if there are any distinguished markings on them or not but I know the ebay ones have gotten pretty real looking. I dont know what they are into now...but I KNOW what I have.....

P.S. - I paid like 125 for the ebrake handle, 150 for the deal pedal and the same for the brake/accelerator pedal if that matters. And this was hmmm....like 6 years ago.
