It's from an e30. Recently removed. I believe it is specific to an e30 and not a generic one. If someone could verify it would be great.

no, the bottom clips on to the rear shelf. There are two hooks which go on the top of rear window which when the shade opened up clips on to.

It came off of an early model. So yes they will fit.
