it sits lower becasue they are power seats. maybe the last time they were in a VW someone had them on a different height.

came from a world of VW's.

i see what you mean. that would be to good for the VW's made in the early 90's. i've owned several sets of these. the power bases are factory VW pieces that actually raise and lower the entire seat, not just the center. 75% of all these sets I had had broken motors that left the seat in its last position.

none the less, very comfy set of seats! i like them better than the factory e0 sport seats. good luck to the seller!

If they were not originally equipped with the power bases, then they cannot be used in an E30 without extensive modification. The non-power seats are distinguishable by a smaller headrest, smaller upper bolsters, and smaller lower bolsters made into a VW-based seat bottom.

Now, if they simply don't have the power bases attached any more, then they're usable seats for this crowd. Post up some pics and we'll know for sure.

Pretty sure you got that backwards. Power seats have the sliders and everything built into the bottom of the seat and can't be used in E30s. Non-power seats can be used with a set of adapters like Janderson makes (soon I hope, *hint hint*)

Negative. I'm spot on. The power-based Recaros are actually full Recaros, and as such, the power bases un-bolt with the typical 6-bolt pattern. The non-power, or "manual" Recaros are a neutered upper Recaro, with a VW sport seat base. I actually clarified this some time ago in the Recaro thread on here, but I think the pictures may be down now..
