FS - Driveshaft Flexdisk / 885 Cylinder Head.

    Head on eBay.

    Item number: 140367865687

Full history w/ no issues 885 head. 146K. It's a 4 bearing head so u need to drill the extra 4 holes if you're running a 7 bearing cam. I can have the same shop that did mine clean / mill / drill etc if u don't have a local shop u trust.

BMW used the 4 bearing 885 head on some 88 SETA's. It's identical to the i 885 but used the 4 bearing "B" cam like the regular ETA. HP jumped from 121 to 129 and Tach RPM from 5 to 6 K. It was a ~1 year wonder. The casting is the same...just missing the oil holes for the other cam bearings. Sorta like the 200 ETA head that was also used on the e21 323 w/ a 7 bearing cam.

I'm running this head on my 2.7. I actually prefer to start w/ this one as most have had an easy life in a 5er w/ automatic tranny. Single springs mean less wear on the cam bearing casting and as a + u have 3 new ones w/ switching over to a 7 bearing cam. One of the reasons M20's tend to leak around the cam seal is casting wear.

The shop that did mine charged me $75 to drill and mill ~0.020". The actual drilling part was $30. It's something u can really do by hand w/ a drill but I'm anal and wanted it done in a drill press so I could duplicate the factory angles. If u don't have a shop u trust or don't want it done by hand, I can get my local machine shop to drill the extra 4 oiling holes.
