Buy that and that $1200 standalone system that will run the s54, and there's more HP than you'll need for 4600+ associated swap and upgrade parts.

who makes an s54 stand alone for 1200? that sounds like a really good deal.

Nobody makes anything for $1200. There are several options but purpose built S54 management is $3k+ unless you lock out vanos or use a currently available ems with highly adapted tuning. The reason the more advanced S54 costs less than an S52 is because of the fact that the electronics cost so much. :(

FWIW, that guy (or someone coincidentally selling a similar S54 right now in Houston) had it listed for $2500 Thursday, and noted that the engine *may* have overheated at one point and require head work.

There have been several dealer replacement S54s, what are we willing to bet that this is one of the bad ones that never got warrantied?
