Complete m50TU w/ZF 310, new clutch and more. Basically ready for e30 swap!

I'm listing this up for a friend, but it was actually my old engine that I had in my e34 before I swapped in the s52. He bought it from me to put into an e30, but has decided to go a different route.

The engine had 122k on it when I originally pulled it out of a friend's wrecked 94 325ic. Prior to installing it into my e34, a bunch of items were replaced. Here's a quick rundown of those items...

    Plugs
    Valve cover gasket
    Water pump
    Thermostat
O-rings that go into the oil filter housing
    Clutch
    Throw-out bearing
    Pilot bearing
New spring clip for clutch release fork
New pivot pin for clutch release fork
There's probably more, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

I had the engine in my car from February 09 until October 09, at which point I yanked the m50 to put in the s52 out of my m3 parts car. For the few months I had the m50 in my car, it ran absolutely flawlessly and never gave me any issues at all. It didn't leak fluids, always fired right up, and pulled nice and hard. When I was getting ready to drop the m50 in originally, it appeared that the head had been rebuilt at some point as well. It was ridiculously clean and had some markings on some of the head components, pointing to the signs of a rebuild. I cannot prove this, but I'll try to find the pics of the markings and post them up.

Since my friend took ownership, he compiled pretty much everything he needed for the e30 swap. The sale of the engine will include:

COMPLETE m50 (Absolutely no more than 130k miles on it) with ALL accessories
    New in box Raceland headers
E34 m50 oil pan and pickup (not installed yet)
Red label 413 (known working ebay chip included, not yet installed)
    Driveshaft from 97 M3 sedan
    ZF310 with new clutch
    Brand new quibo
    e36 m50 engine mount arms
Brand new e28 535i motor mounts
    Brand new e34 throttle cable
Radiator necessary for the swap (can't remember if it's the e36 one or the e30 318 one, will check)
If I can think of anything else, ill post it up later.

So, pretty much all you would need to throw this in an e30 is to take care of the brake booster and wiring and you're set. Or, you could put it in an e34 or e36, and sell all of the unnecessary parts and make a decent amount of money back.

Asking price is $1,000 OBO. He's not looking to split any of it up, just looking to get rid of everything as a whole. He has another vehicle in mind that he'd like to get, so he'd like to get this thing moved pretty quickly. I can answer most of the questions you have since the engine was in my car, but if you have any questions you'd feel more comfortable asking him, his email address is... lukemillhouseenv1 at yahoo dot com

Everything is located at our garage in Reinholds, PA 17569. Delivery within a reasonable distance can be arranged, but pickup is obviously preferred. Thanks for looking!

Sorry for the lack of responses in the thread guys. As of now, there are a few sales lined up. I'll post back after the weekend and let everyone know if it sold or if it is still available.

                    Thanks,
                    Jason

What do you mean a few sales lined up? I hope that means i'm first in line for this, I was verbally promised this setup on 2/13 by your buddy. I even offered to paypal a down payment which i was told was not necessary. I have the cash ready, i been trying to get in contact with your buddy to make arrangements to either pick this up, or if it was possible to have it delivered as you mentioned in the for sale post.

Edit: just so it's clear, my negative feedback is about his buddy, not Jhower08

I just want to say this sale was handled very poorly. HUGE lack of communication from the seller (Luke) I talk to this guy on the 13th, explain to him i will have the funds if i sell off my suspension, but i need a guarantee the motor is mine. He verbally agrees to this, i offer to paypal a deposit and give the balance in cash at time of pickup. He declines this, says the motor is mine. I ask him about delivering, he says he will find out because there is 3 feet of snow in front of his garage anyway, so we leave it tentative of when i will pick it up or if he can deliver it pending the snow getting cleared. I make some arrangements on my end and work it out where i can pick it up, all this week he doesn't answer his phone, text or email. Finally after blowing up his phone he texts me saying he's been working 2pm to 2am, ok no problem just keep in communication and let me know you're busy. We all have lives, and working 12 hours a day i dont expect this guy to answer me everytime i call, but like i said some kind of communication to just let me know you're busy.

Yesterday he texts me back, says he can have his buddy handle the deal if i come get it Monday. He says hes going to go the garage and see the status of the snow. Hear nothing from this kid last night, text him today to confirm if were good for Monday and he says the motor is sold to someone who came there today with WAY more cash then he was asking for. It seems to me this asshole kept giving me the run around and had someone else come look at the motor that offered him more money. Ok fine, someone offered more money, why promise the motor to me then? Yea its my fault for taking the verbal agreement of this idiot, but i wanted to let R3v know the shadyness behind the deal with this guy.

So thanks for fcking me over, im now out $200 because of this deal and have no fcking motor you fcking asshole.

^I had no idea any of that was going on. If he verbally agreed to sell you the engine and then sold it out from under you, I completely understand why you are pissed off. I personally was on vacation from Thursday until this morning and when I got home and saw this thread I contacted Luke immediately. He told me what happened about the local guy coming up and offering more than what he was asking. I also understand why he would've sold it for more money if there was a guy there with a truck and a stack of cash in hand. I'm not saying what he did was right (if he verbally agreed to sell it to you), but how many people are going to turn down an offer like he was presented with?

I stuck my neck out by listing this for sale for him, so I feel it is my responsibility to make things right that were fucked up on the sellers end. To anyone that feels they were mislead or screwed over in any way, shape, or form, I do sincerely apologize. I wish I would've had more input on the selling end rather than simply listing it and saying get a hold of Luke. Sorry again guys.

I agree with you, if someone offered more cash he has every right to get as much as he can for his setup. But be a man about it, keep me posted about what's going on. He says to me the engine is in a garage with 3 feet of snow in front of it and doesn't know when he will be able to get it out. I contacted him for a week and heard nothing from him, finally he texts me Friday and says he's going to take a ride to the garage and see if the engine can be taken out. I arrange with my buddy to go get it Monday.

I hear nothing from him Friday, Saturday when i text him he says the engine is sold. He avoided me for a week when i had someone to get the engine, now all of a sudden someone shows up and has money? I think not, someone offered more money he made arrangements to meet up with them and dicked me in the process.

The part im most upset about, i explained to him i had to sell off some parts to get this setup but i wanted a guarantee the engine is mine before i sold them off. He gave me the go ahead to sell them because he said the engine is mine. He also declined a paypal deposit on the engine and turned around and sold it to someone else after ignoring my calls/text and emails for a week to make arrangements to come get the engine. Dick move in my book.

Anyway no hard feelings, i'll be smarter next time when making deals with kids.
