Re:
BC That link was a SCAM Jixer. If you sent them paypal monies for that engine, you would have bought a Latino man named Ezmerelda a sex change operation and a brand new sequined club skirt. :-(

M54 pistons combined with a S50 crank would probably make a decent boosted combo, 8.4:1 compression ratio.1988 325 auto-x car

Oh, yeah. Someone I hijacked it, but I thought I got to it before anybody had seen it.
The link is fixed now.
I actually have an S52 crank and would part the motor for the right price.
Isn't the M54 3.0 the same as an s50?
I can't remember the numbers off hand?J. Farina

The M54 3.0 crank is the same as the S52 crank - forged and 89.6mm stroke.1988 325 auto-x car

Even an NA 3.0L M20 would be a torque, fun, safe set up at that compression ratio.
Isn't that what the Super ETA is? 8.4:1?
You could measure valve clearances and such and possibly shave the head down 7 thou or so and get a couple points of compression back and advancing the cam timing a bit.
You won't be breaking any dyno records, but I bet it would be a nice set up.Last edited by JiXer; 02-18-2010, 09:23 AM.J. Farina

Super ETA is a 2.7 and not too super, apparently the M5x cranks can be made to fit the M20 but I don't know too much about that.1988 325 auto-x car

I was referring to the compression ratio of the Super ETA.
With the i cam and valve springs, they are nice motors.
And yeah, the 24 cranks in general just need a spacer up front where the main pulley bolt mounts.J. Farina
