Just installed the trans mounts today. I have a question, how bad are the vibrations with anyone else's experiences?

Mine is vibrating like crazy! I've had poly mounts in other cars and felt a difference in vibrations, but not like this.

Generally the combination solid motor and tranny mounts will transfer much more harmonics. Check if its exhaust related, sounds funny but i had BAD vibration with solid motor mounts and poly trans mounts, turned out to be the exhaust was a bit loose and causing it.

Also make sure your guibo, center support bushing, and u-joints are in good shape.

We just mounted a set of tranns and motor mounts on a 3.2 turbo we have here and have very little "outstanding" vibrations.
Check your guibo and shaft bearing. Remeber these mounts are solid and don't display any sag like rubber or poly (yes poly sag over time)
What this means is if your bearing and guibo have "warn" in with rubber or poly. Then you transfer to solid they are now in a position they have not been in or "warn into" this may result in unforseen vibration on a setup that maybe relatively new.

Gotcha...it may be the guibo then like you mentioned. I'll check it again.

Possibly the exhaust too...theres a hanger attached to the trans brace. O_o

Try revving and see if it shakes the car, that was when i realized the vibration was exhaust not engine or transmission.

              My experience:

I swapped in an M20B25 in place of the stock M20B27 in my '87 using Condor motor/trans mounts. Overall, it feels great without being harsh. I am running this car in rallycross events and even in our bumpy conditions and with me running nearly straight exhaust (no cat, all 2.5" piping) I would say that the majority of the transferred vibrations are quite tolerable.

Compared to other cars (including other dedicated track cars at our events) and with the stock e30 vibrations as a 3 or 4 on a scale of 1-10, the Condor solid mounts only added 1-2 "points" in the 1-10 scale.

Had this happen to me last weekend, decided it was definitely time to upgrade. Set of M20 trans and motor mounts ordered.

I'm interested in possibably picking up a combo deal either...the cruiser or the spec, but I don't need the off set lower control arm bushings because I'm going with THR eyeballs. Pm me with a combo deal?
                        Thanks.
