    Large Tool Kit & Tray

I've got an almost complete large tool kit. Most of the tools are larger and different than what came in the E30 and much better to use. The larger deluxe tools are German made Heycos. It comes with a nice clean tray.

I'm selling the 14 pieces in the photo. I'm including the E23/E24/E28 window crank tools shown, but they aren't needed with the E30 cars. I don't have the screwdrivers, but I have used Snap-On screwdrivers in the large trays and they look pretty cool. They are the same size as the square handle green Heycos. As you can see in the bottom photo most any pair of standard size pliers will fit the tray until you can find the Heyco pliers. It has the foam for the E30 spade fuses rather than the more common foam for the POS bullet fuses.

These are getting very hard to find in good condition as it's been 23 years since they were made. Complete kits in nice condition sell for between $300 and $400 with the green screwdrivers and $500+ with the red ones. I want $200 "shipped" for the group of tools. The complete tool trays in the photos aren't for sale and they are just for reference.

Please, don't PM me. I am on many different computers and I can only log into this forum from one. Simply use the link to my e-mail - germancarsonly@gmail.com

      if that...

the screwdrivers and the pliers are the pieces that folks are looking for.. the rest is easy to snatch up at junkyards.

Sorry guys, but my price probably isn't too high. If it is I'll listen to offers. The standard small E30 kits always sell for $50.

As for just snatching up a set at the wrecking yards, those days are pretty much gone. Back 5 years ago yes, but not now. I spend as much time as anyone on this forum at the yards. Plus, there are probably more BMWs at the Northern California yards than any place else in the country.

I have sold a few complete large kits and single tools so I know what they sell for. A complete kit sells for between $300 and $500 depending on the condition and which screwdrivers it has.

The tools are still available at the dealers BTW. So call your dealer and compare instead of shitting.

I did check a few years ago and found out 3 things. First, many of them are no longer available from BMW and that was at least 4 years ago. Second, they refered me to http://www.samstagsales.com/bmwtools.htm#toolkit because they have a larger sellection of tools than the dealer does. Third, they aren't cheap. The box end wrenches are now $20 each and the large pliers are $38 as an example. I did just check their site again and they do have the Heyco screwdrivers for sale at $8 & $16. They aren't the original style, but they are green Heycos.

So, if I don't find a buyer here I will offer them on a forum for the larger cars or maybe eBay. Like I said I have sold a few of these large kits before and one or two of them were on this forum. Some people want the large kits and some don't care.

                      true and false
the screwdrivers are all still avaialble, but they are the grey handle ones that don't fit right.

these kits are not for the guys who need tools, these kits are for people who are trying to complete a restoration or who want a complete mint car.

Most don't care and that is not who is is trying to sell to.

                      Bump for you man.
