By any chance would you have or know of where one could get a euro-spec engine!? The US version is Deprived of Hp!!

    Simplicity is your best option!

I'm no expert on this, but AFAIK, the main difference between euro and US S54 is in the placement of the cats. Euro headers supposedly give a modest increase in hp and torque, but they cost a bundle. They do go up for sale occasionally on the various forums.

That's right. The US S54 engine is the same as the Euro version. Cat placement on the headers of US engines hurt the power output but helped with cold start emissions, which are soooo important (but not really). That's where the power difference is. For what it's worth you can get pretty nice headers for the engine off Ebay for $90 shipped to your door.. I doubt they'll flow like the nice Euro headers or other more expensive headers, but they'll to better than the catalyst headers.

        Good luck with the sale.

          Thanks. :)

FWIW, the ebay headers are usually troublesome to get on the second bank because the middle flange doesn't line up. Takes a little elbow grease to get them to fit right. I have a set that I'll include with the engine.
