I have this motor taking up space after i purchased a freshened s52 to complete my swap.
This S52 has around 140k Miles on it. Owner was both a BMW and Porsche enthusiast (owned a sweet 928 race car! and the mintyest m3) all cars received regular maintenance. When the original owner cross threaded a spark plug he opted for a lower mileage motor to get him up and running, while he re-freshened this s52. He never got around too it though!
The leak down numbers are as follows:
Cylinder #1 5%
Cylinder #2 damaged spark plug threads, after getting it to seal was 3%
Cylinder #3 2%
Cylinder #4 5%
Cylinder #5 4%
Cylinder #6 4%
As the motor lacks any timing accessories on it, I used a compression detector to determine the start of the compression stroke, then removed it and replace it with a wooden dowel to determine TDC for the cylinder, and then put the leak down tester on the at cylinder and recorded the results.
This is a true long block with no accessories and no sensors. Pull the head and do the valves and attend to spark plug 2 and have a good motor.

Cylinder head was very clean when i swapped back on the OBD2 valve cover.
