I honestly can't tell exactly as it was taken from a working/driving car that I parted after an accident (right rear quarter and thus it wasn't worth saving the car). The motor and tranny were supposedly replaced before I bought the car. I kept the motor and broke it open to reseal and inspect for my track car and according to my mechanic, it was in excellent condition... I also obviously drove the car and can confirm that everything was working when it was parted. No whine from the tranny, smooth shifting, no trouble getting in or out of any gear. It's from a later car so it was the latest style e30 shifter, etc...

Yes! I am not the mechanic but my racing partner has a performance and repair shop and he is available to drop this in your car. You can call him for a quote (and to see the setup as it's sitting at his shop). He's in North Hollywood: Don't quote me on this but he typically charges about $500-$600 depending on what you have and what you need, etc... Call him and he can get you something firm.
