It's still worth filing a claim, sellers like this should not be allowed to get away with that crap. Now if only you'd read my post BEFORE you sent money... ;-)

I will just have to refuse delivery and have it return to sender.
After speaking with Rob at UUC, he said it wasn't the bearing that I would have a problem finding, it would be the special stepped bearing spacers that they fabricated that let the bearing rotate only on the inner race without contacting the side seal or outer race.
Though I have some decent skills on a lathe, I don't think I am going to be able to make something like that without a lot of mistakes that cost you each time."Now hatred is by far the longest pleasure; men love in haste but they detest at leisure." -Lord ByronComment

Wow, people can jump to all kinds of conclusions so easily online! I feel sorry for those who have nothing productive to do other than waste time by upping their post counts and troll around in other people's threads!
Just got back after being gone most of the day. Never had any unhappy buyers or disputes, not gonna start now. I have never messed with one of these shifters and had no idea that there was essential parts missing...

Let me start by apologizing to 6speeddinan. I jumped to conclusions, got anxious, and made an assumption that I was getting scammed before I ever heard back from him regarding the transaction. I should have waited a longer than I did for him to reply.
All, well most of us, have jobs, and don't have the luxury of perusing the board all day and responding to emails. He refunded my payment so all is good right now.
Secondly, I apologize to the board for starting what I think you call flaming without good reason. It was undeserved towards 6speeddinan.
I make no excuse for my mistakes in this situation, I will just learn from it and not do it again."Now hatred is by far the longest pleasure; men love in haste but they detest at leisure." -Lord ByronComment
