Other interesting things on the car are

    analog clock $sold
    2 button fog switch $30
small tails with rear fogs $100/pair
    mtech1 wheel $60

4hp22-EH for m20 stuck in 3rd gear might be wiring, computer, it's a mystery, but it's yours to figure out for $1 million dollars OBRO

          haha I was joking.

It's an automatic...all US spec automatic e30's have a cable to help it know when to shift. This has an electronically controlled tranny like E28's and other big 6 cars had. I don't know what's wrong with it, haven't even checked if it's plugged in to the harness cuz I don't really care and I'm sure nobody needs it cuz nobody has one. But yeah...it's in limp mode or something and just starts in 3rd and never shifts. You floor it and the revs CREEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep from 1200-1800 and it goes like 50 then you run out of runway :)

sounds like it needs rebuilding? So was the US spec cable controlled tranny replace this one? why I ask because Yours has a E for economy and S for sport mode 321. along with the regular auto shift. So I am wondering if this one is different from a canadian or US car?

Physically it's the same size but it requires a tranny computer and harness run. It could be something wrong with the physical tranny or it could be the computer, or a wiring problem. I think it's nuts to replace an auto tranny with another auto tranny, really wouldn't recommend anyone trying it.

Yes. I have a Japanese spec car with the same set up. It's different from the US/Can.

Did you have a chance to confirm interior color?
