Doing custom coils instead of buying the $1000+ kit?
You will need these spring hats to seat your front springs so you wont have to do this instead;
Welding a pipe onto your original spring hat so you can seat your springs.
This will also add more material, making your ride higher:
By using these instead of fabbing up your own like the picture above, you will also have less 'volume' between your spring and top, allowing you to go lower.
