i havent seen the 4 sets that are done.

BUT! i have seen the all red tails on chris' M3 which must have been done the same way and they look Effin Beautiful in person!!!

Tail lights are nice and if you guys could do this yourself good for you, were selling a product for people who are interested in buying a nice set of tail's not interested in how to mimic or copy the same style.

Personally I wouldn't pay 200.00 but that doesn't mean the work involved and time isn't worth it. Consider how much prep it takes and the hours to do it. A fair profit is acceptable. For someone practical as yourself only wanting to spend 20.00 is fine because you can do the work. But there are people who "don't" have the time and time is money!
They would much rather be spending their time doing something else more profitable or enjoyable in their lives then working on their bmw's all the time. So I think the price is warranted. I spent easily a good few hours crinkle painting and polishing my rocker cover. I would sell it for a profit considering my time and products and skill involved.

Yea there are tons of people willing to pay, then DIY them...

Not everyone ( lots of dads here etc) has time to paint lights when other matters are more pressing.

... to further entertain you, why should anyone NOT take their own tail lights... spend 20$ and a sunday afternoon doing this same thing, CLEANER mind you, and feel much more satisfied in their own work/style/savings? sounds practical to me. 200$ for an unprofessional job sounds impractical to me. they DO look great i never said they were ugly, but this is not a fair price to me. being an ENTHUSIASTS FORUM, something like this shares no helpful value, and i dont appreciate people trying to profit extremely, from things of this nature.

By doing that, the next time or, judging by your post count, first time you post something up for sale, someone doesnt bash your parts like you are doing to my good friend here. I have seen multiple sets that have come from this guy and they are all beautiful. Sets like these are for people who either dont have the skills to do it themselves or just simply would rather not do it themselves. Its as simple as that. So keep the negativity out of the thread. No need for bashing things you've never seen in person. BTW, your DIY tails look lke ass compared to these. No shine at all. And as e30polak stated before, the lights havent been wet sanded. So they will get even MORE glossy.

Not an unfair price at all! a set of tail lights at the cheapest from a yard around here is 40 bucks, and one can of quality paint is 80 not including the clear. Then taking into account the labor, they are priced accordingly. They look good too! If i needed tails I'd be down for a set!

btw, lots of overspray on the gaskets, and backing peices. just fyi...might not add to your hopes in highest quality. for 200$ honestly id take my 20$ and have alittle patience and do them just how i wanted.

There is NO comparison between your lights and the ones we have for sale. Your lights hardly look transparent, and you can tell that you used poor quality materials. This is what a $20 spray can job looks like everybody. I'd love to see how they last in the Cali son after a few months. :roll:

looks like it, but this done with candy BC/CC over the entire lights (not canned)? pics look like the only thing missing is a little buffing and they're money.

This is not done with crappy autozone/pepboys materials, we use professional grade paint and clear. We like the ALL red look, but it's not for everyone.

And yes, the lights will be wet sanded and buffed this week.
