And people wonder why we don't have enough after market stuff for our chasis's. I can pretty much assure they are breaking even at best, consider a good set of tails, paint, time(unless you calculate your time at minimum wage...) 200 is cheap.
Make more send to me on consignment and I'll sell out in a week.

I'm a car enthusiast.what the hell does that even mean? its a 24hour CAR ENTHUSIASTS forum! your post is irrelivant. but...
... to further entertain you, why should anyone NOT take their own tail lights... spend 20$ and a sunday afternoon doing this same thing, CLEANER mind you, and feel much more satisfied in their own work/style/savings? sounds practical to me. 200$ for an unprofessional job sounds impractical to me. they DO look great i never said they were ugly, but this is not a fair price to me. being an ENTHUSIASTS FORUM, something like this shares no helpful value, and i dont appreciate people trying to profit extremely, from things of this nature.
Job looks professional.
Seen it in person.
Better than my DIY all-reds.
He showed me how to do it.
Price is fair.
I also profit off r3v when I can.
Your post is invalid.Leave a comment:

im not trying to trash his thread, anyone looking for an extra set of lights, could easily cough over the 200. its a steep jump from 20$ and some effort i would say though.. maybe im just being an unhelpful asshole.Leave a comment:

Get outta here dude, not the time or the placewoah.... 200?!?!?.. no offense man, thats a bit much. i did this with some testors candy apple red transparent paint, adhesive promotor, and some layered clearcoating and wetsanding, as i can kinda tell this is whats been done here as well. if they were pro, theyd be baked, and you wouldnt be able to see the spotting as seen in pictures above. as they look nice, and he does a fine job painting i hate to pull from your sale, but this is a forum where others should help eachother in saving, and sharing knowledge, not become profitable. also tell him to buff them alittle bit with some compound after wetsanding the final coat with the finest grit and a hand held buffer, it will add to this finish much more appealing.
1 can transparent candy apple red testors should do the trick for both lights, maybe 3 coats each -5$ give or take
adhesive promotor can be found at any autozone/advanced for another 5$
as well, use some good quality clearcoat, meant for high build. i used alloy rim coating from duplicolor, to prevent any ability of chipping, and cracking from the sun. few coats of that generously and painted patiently, should make a good quality - lasting finish.
Pieces look great man, GLWSLeave a comment:
