    FS: M62 V8 with 5 speed tranny, $1300 (NH)

I am in the middle of moving shops and have no time just seeing what I could get for this. Looking for $1300, located in southern nh right now, not looking to ship

The engine is a 4.4L V8 from a e39 540i with I believe 112k, the dash was a little hard to read. I drove it around before it was pulled, a friend owned the car.

The engine is a complete long block the manifold is off in the photos because its easier to pull that way. I also have a earlier style front hub with the trigger wheel on it as I was going to run standalone. I do not have the harness or DME for this.

The tranny is a 5-speed from a e34 V8, good choice for e30 swap since its smaller then the 6 and the guibo is the same as the large flange e30's or e30 m3.

non vanos, figure it was one less thing to deal with and she makes plenty of torque as is. no known issues other then normal stuff like the valve cover gaskets leak and the valley pan might as well be replaced, I was going to replace the timing chains since some v8's have had issues.

e39 540i nv? Must have been removed by po?

pre 99 was nv so its a factory 4.4 with no vanos ...and there is no physical appearance difference in valve covers like the m50's have...thats a really good deal jean you should totally get it...it must be an m60 b30 trans though...correct?

Hmm. I didn't know M62 existed in NV config (like the M60)?

yea just like the 4.0 but its a 4.4 there is basically no differences power wise in the m62 and m62tu just that it has a different torque curve or some ish like that...the great thing is you dont have to worry about the wonderful guide rail problem in the nv one like im having with my m62tu hahah

-the tranny is from a 3.0L

-these nv motors also have cable throttle bodies so that's a easy one to hook up, no electronic body like the vanos model

-the intake manifold on these is similar to people swapping the obd1 manifolds on 24v motors. For some reason the shape of the runners is better on the nv 4.4 motors

I did my research before choosing a v8, just so happen a friend had one in her e39, that car was also an auto.
