Genuine Black Stock Sport Recaros (Pair) $60

Hey guys,

I have a pair of front recaro-style buckets out of my is. not very pretty and not very functional...but they 'work.' yes, the driver's seat is on the other side, and yes, that is the only angle position it sits in - the recline is somehow jammed internally. as-is in current condition for $60 and if i don't get any hits i'll try and fix them myself and re-post for more. i'll feel it out as it goes. pics below.

I would say yes to the recaros; it was a recaro design exclusive to bmw at the time the model was produced. No it doesn't say recaro's anywhere so we call them sport seats, or recaro sport seats or recaros. Needless to say they are sport seats and if they were cheap they wouldn't be out lasting some of the newer seats. And...arguably feel better to sit in then newer bmw's. Newer bmw seats from what I've been told are not designed by racaro anymore.

Do you know what could be the culprit with that passenger seat? Gotta be a bad shock no?

haha you mean the real driver's seat? my guess is a disconnected cable because the release spring on the right side won't compress to allow the seat to change recline positions. potentially a simple fix, but i'm not sure yet...if i have no plans tomorrow i'm gonna try and take it apart a little and see what's up. i'm tired of tearing up my center console!

Haha nice. For sure, sounds like a simple fix. I wonder how much it costs to do reupholstering.

well the leather is busted at and above the bolster on both...so the answer probably isn't a cheap one unless you don't mind off-brand vinyl - but that's to get them looking good. i'm ditching them mainly because it's the last thing really keeping my car from being cherry.

Yeah I've got a pretty clean interior and for those to go in as is, would spoil the look. I just need to get my hands on some damn decent sports.

I can drop them off anywhere near or between 90266 (LAX) and Norwalk - get back at me!

Taking out the 'worse' one (driver's on psgr's side) today and gonna tinker with it.

I have a functioning passenger seat if he will split the driver seat for you.

thanks abby, but it's a packaged set...moving back to school in a month and can't have things littering the house

looks like the rod (or whatever coordinates the recline on the other side) isn't connected through and wont release the catch on the other side so it's stuck. any tips?
