Thanks! Once the paint is removed polishing the lips is pretty easy but time consuming. I made a little wheel polishing rig out of my potter's wheel so that helps quite a bit.

If you search online you'll find all sorts of info, basically start with course grit sandpaper then go finer and finer. I finish off with Mother's Mag & Aluminum polish. If you want a mirror polish then you'll have to use rouge and felt polishing wheels. It's a pain in the ass doing a chrome-like mirror polish, so that's why I just kept it to a light polish on the e38 Style 5's.

example of my rig and some e39 17x8 Style 5's

$325 for the set of course. Actually, tomorrow I'm looking to get rid of all my e38 Style 5's, maybe do all 8 (two sets) for $400. One set having polished lips.

Btw, Cabriolet, I do have a nice condition vert m-tech II appearance package Lotus white rear seat in good condition for $360. No rips. I also have a non-ripped lotus white bottom cushion available for $70. Send me a PM if at all interested.

Yeah, I think you work near by me. I've seen you driving around a few times, it's not hard to miss a nice m-tech II cabrio. In fact when I was heading to West Valley College a few weeks ago I was behind you on Lawrence, that's why I know you need a better rear seat heheh ;)
