I am strongly considering parting out my 1991 BMW 318is slicktop. I have lost interest in the car lately and would consider selling it whole if parting it turns out to be too much trouble.
About the car:
It has ~160,000 miles, the title is a "not actual mileage" bc the odometer was replaced with a lower mileage one. The exterior is Diamondshwartz and the interior is black vinyl. The paint is 5/10 and the car is generally rust free except for a couple of the typical e30 trouble spots (under the battery and license plate lights). As it stands the car is not running. I had an unfortunate incident with a curb on a rainy night that took out the oil pan and bent the lower valence as well as a portion of the lower core support. The wheels/tires and suspension are undamaged. The car was only driven about half a block after the pan was cracked so the engine is likely fine. About a week before the curb incident, someone backed into the driver side fender and left. I have a lot of the parts that would be needed to complete both fixes. The lower rear valance was pushed in when I bought the car and the rear trunk lip is starting to warp. Overall, the interior is in very good shape. The dash is crack free. There is one small, hardly noticeable crack forming in the passenger side leg bolster, but other than that the seats are really nice. The wheels were refinished recently and the tires have about 40-50% life left in them. Mechanically, the car is in very good shape. The engine was gone through by the previous owner ~20,000 miles ago. This included a rebuilt head, new timing components and engine seals. The clutch is newer as well. Other parts that have been replaced recently include shifter bushings, coolant temp sensor, 02 sensor, transmission mounts, flex disk, CSB, thermostat, water pump, fuel pump, muffler, battery, front and rear brakes, heater core and blower motor. It also has a few goodies on it (Mark D chip, COP kit, and euro clock).
Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures at the moment. I will take some asap, but the car is in the garage and the lighting is so poor that they probably won't show much anyway. If you are local we can arrange for you to stop by and check out the car/parts. Otherwise let me know what parts you would be interested in and I will get back to you with pricing as soon as I decide what I am doing.
