... all 4 off my 318is, great shape, just too low for hills around here. They've got about 15k easy highway miles on them, never raced or abused. I'd like to sell them together, but if I get takers for fronts/backs before I get a taker for the set I'll split 'em. $300 shipped obo.

Wouldn't the ride height be more of a function of the springs? Or am I mistaken?

Shocks should be matched to the springs, yes. I swapped for taller springs as well. If you have stock springs these won't lower the car. Using these shocks with stock springs will damage the shocks pretty quickly. So yes, you're right.
