For the record, with a bit of tedious-ness, these can be polished to a mirror finish. Looks fantastic. Pictures upon the AM for anyone interested.

Here are some pictures. I re-shaped the inside lip of them a bit so that it wouldn't be mirror as much as a brushed look, but the faces are damn near mirror polished. It's a bit tedious, but it works well with a Dremel, 1200 grit sand paper and Mother's Aluminum Polish (by hand). The first photo is in process.

Looks great, but it doesn't match you wall-mounted clock anymore Ha, good job, if I hadn't just put my cluster back together I might have tried doing this.

The photo's don't do the polishing justice. It's much more mirror reflective than I could capture with the point and shoot.

Take your time if you're polishing and just do every step 203948203985x more than it feels like you should.
