Cibie CSR - YELLOW High or Low- FS

Just found a limited number of Cibie CSR (Complex Surface Reflector) with YELLOW LENSES. These are bolt-on replacement for sealed beams. They use an H1 bulb for both high and low. Cibie quit making these lights in 2008, and no-one knows why, they have a really good output and pattern. These are the Gold Standard for Halogen / Reflector technology in auto headlights. Work like Euros, the lows stay on all the time, highs go on or off with stalk switch.

Lows are low only, not an H4 hi/lo. Highs are high only, and make an in-freaking-CRED-ible amount of light, also 55W H1.

Headlight protection film included, these are just too rare to let them go without. Asking $150 each plus shipping.

Tail Light Improvements keep them off your tail.

          Pics of Cibie CSR

I found some pics, still waiting to hear what is available (sorry, it takes a while to hear back from the distributor for small orders).

Disclaimer- just because you see a picture here does not mean that I have the light. These are old pictures.

OK, here is the CSR in yellow, low beam

IF I can get the CSRs, they will be very pricey. Like think $150 each, plus shipping. No guarantees, these are very scarce.

I CAN get the Hella BiFocus lows for around $104 each, plus shipping. That includes the cap with 2 wires, and stock 55W bulb. For city light option (bulb socket, 4W bulb, and 3-wire cap), add $12.

I also have a source for yellow tint headlight protection film, and it's mandatory for these lights. For $10 I'll cover both of them. You'd be a fool not to, in my humble opinion.

I accept PayPal, money orders, and personal or business checks.

PLEASE Email me for more information, and I can answer your questions from personal experience. I have a full set of CSRs in my E28 535i, and a Hella BiFocus on the shelf, with the city light. I am willing to put it in my car and photograph the output from a stock bulb and sity light and whatever you need to make an informed decision.

I also have a set of illustrated instructions on rewiring the low beam relay in US cars that came with sealed beams, if you need it.

          Hope this helps.

            Andy:

I am interested in two pairs of high beams. Any word on availability?

            Thanks,

Do you have any comparison shots between the standard Hella and the bifocus lows?? Where does the extra $50-$100 come into play??
