Bought this cluster off of another member about 9 months ago. I used it for a short time but realized I really need to know how fast im going to MPH because I have enough speeding tickets as it is. When I bought it, it was described as being in decent shape, the needles are painted red but its not a perfect job. It is a motometer, but the front says VDO as they are interchangable. Odometer fine works like it should and trip odometer resets and works as it should. Gas gauge reads 55L i've heard that is the same size take as verts and early cars, late models are 60L.
Now when I got it I hooked it all up and it worked perfect the first time, but then the tach would work in the mornings but not at the end of the day? I believe it needs new batteries which don't cost that much and people have them for sale on here. Other members said I had to let the car charge the batteries up? I ended up just fixing my old ODO and staying with that. The only other thing this is missing is a few lights in the back, specifically the two main bubls, fog light, battery, abs. These can be taken out of your current cluster, that is what I did at the time. Pictures tell all. There is a light scratch below the speedometer, which is not noticalbe when its in the dash. The smudge in the last pic near 160kph actually came off.
Oh yeah ODO currently reads 225,072
