Just a word of caution if you're planning on changing your odometer gears. I was all ready to order a set of motometer gears for my 90 325ic (7/89 build). For giggles I thought I'd first take a look at the gears before I place the order. Lo and behold, I had a VDO speedo in my motometer cluster.

Now, I have no idea if the VDO unit was placed in there by a PO or came off the line like that (doubtful). In any case, make sure you actually look at the speedometer before you order your gears. I ordered the correct gears from Garagistic on Ebay a couple of days ago. Looking forward to getting them installed.

Its more common then you think for the units to be switched. Thats why its always best to double check before ordering.
