how hard is it to convert one to power?

Much harder. You need the complete wiring harness w/ relays and switches, plus a new top from a power top car (92 or later) so that it has the brackets to hold the armature. Not to mention the 2 motors, control unit, linkages, etc. You'd also have to custom mount the motors, get them aligned and programmed properly, etc etc etc. Figure $2-4K and 12 years of work.
