I am in the middle of a ls1/t56 swap in my e36 and the s52 has to go.
Here is the history behind the engine. I purchased the car last year with 120k on it. The car ran fine and had good compression numbers and previous owner always ran lubromoly. The engine one day started to "tick". So i got the car towed home and ran a compression test on it. 50 psi in number 6. I was planing on swapping the engine this fall so the engine had to come out. After the head was removed i noticed one of valve springs broke. It did not do any damage to the cylinder walls but did take a small chip out of the piston.
The piston was replaced and i had the head looked over with replaced valve springs and valves.
My goal was to save the s52 and build it for forced induction for my e30 but i dont have time right now. I have every part needed for a s52 swap. As the engine sits now the head is off but everything else is together, I figured i would leave it apart for a buyers visual inspection. I have all the necessary tools to realign the cams if the buyer needs them.
S52, 126k
New stewart water pump
New bimmerworld hoses
5speed transmission out of the 98 m3 with short throw
Clutch and flywheel(clutch is tired)
Complete wiring harness with computer
All accessories
M power valve covers
Let me know if you have any questions. I have every bolt, nut, bracket, basically every part relating to the s52. This would be great for a e30 swap i just need it gone to fund the ls swap
asking $1895
located 2hrs from boston
need this gone to fund the swap
