    FS: 2.9L M20 MM Stroker

    ~~New price $2999 shipped.

Built last October. Installed in the car for break in and dyno testing. Then I sold the car and the new owner did not want the stroker. So here we go.

    Specs:
-Original M20 block out of ED11389, casting date Feb. 20, 1989
-Removed from the car in April 2003 due to low compression issues
-Stored since then until 2010 (oiled, protected from rust etc)
-Cleaned, hot tanked, checked before machine work
-Bored out to Metric Mechanic specs by a machine shop in upstate NY
-Brand new Metric mechanic 2.9 pistons and rings with lightweigh wrist pins
-325e crankshaft, polished by machine shop
-Lightweigh K1 rods with ARP studs
-Crankshaft assembly balanced with rods and pistons.
-Main and rod bearings are race coated
-All seals and gaskets are brand new and are original BMW, none are aftermarket.
    -Brand new BMW oil pump
-Brand new BMW oil pump drive needle bearings
    -Brand new freeze plugs
    -IE adjustable cam gear
-Brand new timing belt and tensioner (Continental)
-Brand new 1mm oversize intake and exhaust valves
    -Brand new camshaft (stock)
-Brand new BMW updated design rocker arms
-Brand new BMW rocker arm shafts
-Brand new BMW rocker arm hardware
    -Brand new BMW valve springs
    -Cylinder head milled down 0.014"
    -Competition cut on valve seats
-precision assembled with Joe Gibbs Oils assembly grease
-Broken in and dyno tested on Joe Gibbs Break-in oil
-Break-in oil then changed to Joe Gibbs XP-3 oil for some test running

    Dynoed at about 200whp/220wtq

    $3200

About 100 miles on this build total!
No problems, no stories, top quality build here.

Valve cover, oil pan, and engine mounts are not included. No accessories.

If you were to do the same thing just the cost of MM parts and machine shop was $3000. Have receipts to prove it.

MM:$1600 (pistons, rings, wrist pins, snap rings)
    Machine shop:$1400
    IE: cam gear $95
    freeze plugs: $12
    BMW gasket kits: $350
    K1 rods: $500
    Etc.
All of my receipt total at about $4800 for this motor, not counting cores.

If interested, I'll include the 351 Motronic with custom chip for extra $250

Sweet Double D's!! Wish I was on the mainland. I would drive to get that setup. This is a very good price. I have contemplated doing this myself about 2 years ago and the price then was on par with what he quotes. Bump and GLWTS.

I will ship it. Freight to west coast should be around $300 or so.

          Thanks,
          Alex.

Would you take a stock eta motor (2.7) on trade?

I'm sure he would. That would take like $20-$25 off of the price.
