Well plans have changed. I do not have time to finish my S50 swap into my cabrio and do the M50 swap on my 318i, so for sale it is.
It originally came out of a 1991 525i I bought last summer. Before it was pulled, the odometer was sitting at 238,251. The one record the previous owners gave me was a receipt of a "rebuild" at 208,XXX at their family's shop. I had my doubts, but as I started tearing into the engine I saw new seals, gaskets, etc. So I believe what they said.

Engine ran great before I yanked it out, though quite dirty. A video of it is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mSn-lLR7bk
Under valve cover before being pulled:

After it was pulled I cleaned it up replacing every replaceable seal and gasket without pulling the head, the exception being the oil filter housing seal. At the time, I just wanted it in the E30 and it wasn't leaking, so I moved on.
Over Christmas I finished up the wiring. It's wired up for a 318i w/o the use of the oil level light. I have a new delete plate and o-ring in its place. I still have the old X20 connector if you wish to use it. It still needs a few loose ends done to be ready to drop in, mainly to do with the fuel rail.
Overview for those who didnt read all of that:
-238,251 miles
-New seals and gaskets
-New E36 arms @$128 at the time
-New coolant and vacuum hoses
-Updated metal water pump
-Rebuilt and flow matched 19# injectors (subtract $75 if you want the old 17#ers)
-EBay E36 headers
-Good AC compressor
-405 ECU included
-E30 plug and play
-E34 oil pan and pick up
Not the best pics, but here's some:

Price is $850 obo. I have quite a bit more than this into it, but I need $$$ to refresh my M42.
Engine is located here if you want to inspect it: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=weston...gl=us&t=h&z=14
PM if you are interested, thanks. ;)
