    FS: 1991 318is 5spd 177k (bilsteins, h&r, slot'd rotors, etc

Here is the link to the craigslist ad:

email me at douglas.rogers@gmail.com for more pics

    Pearl Black (DiamondSwartz)1991 2 door 318is. 177K 5speed.

    The good:
    -New transmission
    -Z3 shortshift kit
-lowered 1.5" with bilstein gas shocks and
    -H&R springs
    -slotted rotors,
-3 brand new brake calipers, one rebuilt brake caliper
    -SS brake lines
-e36 steeringrack upgrade (3.25 lock to lock, instead of stock 4.25)
    -new control arms, tie rods
    -keyless entry
    -alarm
-"basketweave" 15" wheels (much better looking than stock 14" "bottlecaps"
-new LSD (3.73, much better for highway driving)
    -no frame rust
-IS body kit (front/rear spoiler...a little dinged up tho)
-recaro seats/sport interior (driver seat needs replacement tho .. about $150)
    -sun roof
-custom hand painted (not by me) two tone pin stripe.

    the bad:
-some body rust (pretty bad in spots, but no frame rust)
-wiper motor went (comes with replacement, but not installed)
-there is a problem with the ignition switch, so the tach and fuel gauge and -heater/AC blower aren't getting power.
-turn signal arm is loose (comes with replacement)
-alignment is a bit off (from steering rack swap)
-driver seat is broken, basically needs a replacement (about $150, only 4 bolts)
-engine vibrates a bit. Runs great, but i think one of the mounts is messed up.

extra parts: comes with new-in-box tierods, a wiper motor, turn signal, nice dark grey carpet (car has beige installed).

This would make a great project car for someone looking for a project. BMW e30s are surprisingly easy to work on and there is a TON of info online about them. I bought this car as a project car, but i am moving into an apt with a garage. please don't make me junk this wonderful car. it has all the class of a BMW with non of the pretension. I have never met a girl that didn't think it was cutest car ever.

Also, i have about 90% of the parts for an m50 swap. just about everything but the ECU. (I have m50, tranny, driveshafts, brake booster, mounts, etc)

Would you sell the parts for the m50 conversion?

Holy shit. More E30s in Marshfield. What street is it parked on? I could take a look at it anytime this week for anyone far away who is interested.

Woah. I would definitely be interested if it wasn't for the rust.
          (I'm from Marshfield, too)

do you mind if I ask you how much the E36 steering rack conversion cost you in total? You can PM me if u'd like.

I'm getting sick of the sloppy E30 steering, I really want a E36 M conversion.

Anyways, g'luck with the sale, sounds like a great car for an enthusiast looking to spend time and money modding it.
