LF: In need of an M42b18 (east coast canada)

Hey guys, I live on Cape Breton Island on the east coast of Canada and I have a 1991 318is that needs an engine. Got the car as a gift from my gf but the motor is shot and needs to be replaced. Only problem being theres almost nothing for used parts in this area. Kijiji has nothing engine wise East of Ontario right now.

Anyone have anything they'd be willing to ship? Anyway, if you guys could help it would be amazing to finally get this car on the road again. THanks guys!

Listen, It will be will be cheaper to swap, some gm v8....assuming your bimmer's body warrants it....post a topik on the forums for some response....

im from hamilton ontario, probably gonna be swaping out my m20 of the 325i this winter, if that ends up happening i will give you a shout to see if you're interested.

I have an M20b25, complete with harness and trans, can even include the ds, I live in Halifax but the parts are in the Annapolis Valley. I can meet you if you're seriously interested, otherwise, I know someone outside of Dartmouth with an M42 that he'd sell but it needs profile gasket/head gasket.

What would you be asking for the m20 swap? I have talked to the dude through email with the m42 needing the profile gasket. 320,000kms is alittle on the outside of what i'd drop in. As a last resort maybe, but if i can find something alittle fresher that would be great lol

M20 has about the same, but has a fresh timing belt, t-stat, and distributor. I can meet you part way there or deliver it for gas money.I was thinking of the M20 for one of my cars but I'd let it go with trans, wiring radiator, and tailshaft for...$400?

I'd say that's a pretty good deal for being in a remote area. Otherwise, I have a friend about 2 hours out from Toronto Ont.
