FEELER: My rust free euro chassis. FEELER.

Ok, so there's a car I may be buying that would replace my project car, and really, I only need two E30's. One to drive, one to track. So I'm going to put it out there and see what sort of interest I can gather.

The car is/was a 1985 325e, euro grey market car. It's currently burgundrot, but is ready for a repaint. The paint is still good - quite good, considering its year, but the clearcoat on the roof is a bit faded, and it would just benefit well from a respray. Besides, the car is stripped to nothing, making it an easy color change.

Here's the great part. The ENTIRE car - Over, under, everywhere - is rust free. The ONLY spot of rust is on the rear panel, under the passenger taillight, where the car was hit with a small dent, and the paint chipped off, leaving it exposed. Other than that - the wheel wells, the engine bay, everything - all rust free.

This is a PERFECT candidate for a swap. Chris, Brew, I hope you're reading. Spray this car any freaking color you choose, then take all the parts of your cars and put them on - voila - nice shiny rust free E30.

Let me know guys - it's going to help me decide if I buy this other car or not.

Honestly, this comes down to how much I can get for it to use for my next purchase. There's a big difference between what it's worth on paper - a stripped down 1985 e with no interior and no engine - and what it's worth in reality - an original, clean, no accident (save the dent in the rear), rust free chassis that's begging for a paint job and lots of goodies.

Chris, I was hoping you'd be on this (or you Brew.) I'll shoot you a PM and let you know what's up.
