I did the back seat mod. Found not to be worth it as they were only used once in two years. Also had to take the bottom fully apart, the leather is sewn in to the foam. Where are you planning on putting the switches? I used the edge of the seat. Good news is there is a ground and positive cable there.

I was planning on putting the switches in the lid of the rear ashtray then sealing it shut.
