e30 head
I always wanted to ask about this. You say the head is ready to run with valves adjusted? Setting the valve lash before the head is torqued doesn't doesn't exactly work. The lash changes after the head is installed and torqued correctly.Comment

The valves are pre-adjusted so that there is no confusion and that no one forgets to adjust them. After the cam is broken in after the initial start up, you will need to re-adjust clearance. Torquing the head down does not change the valve clearance. Once it is set it isn't going to change by torquing the head down. The only variance that changes valve clearance is repeated change in climate (hot and cold).1988 E30 335i - 1987 E30 327i - 1987 E30 327iS Pickup - 1973 2002 Project
